Members of CIDOB’s policy research project Sources of Tension in Afghanistan & Pakistan: A Regional Perspective (STAP RP) will share findings from recent focus group discussions by the STAP RP team in Kabul and Islamabad in early 2016, on stakeholder expectations for addressing sources of tension in Pakistan that also have implications for the region (governance, socio-economic issues, ethnicity and sectarianism, conflict, militancy, radicalisation), and their expectations going forward, from Europe, the West, and the five involved regional powers (Russia, China, Iran, India, Saudi Arabia).  Feedback and input will be sought from participants on their reactions to the findings presented, their expectations vis a vis Afghanistan and Pakistan going forward, as well as from the main five regional powers, and views on the future of the region.

The meeting is invitation only and will be held under Chatham House rules.
