Without forgetting the refugee crisis in Europe, the 2017 edition of the Yearbook analyses the rise of populisms and its discourse on the phenomenon of immigration. Indeed, one more year immigration is in the eye of the hurricane in Europe and beyond. This is due to the enormous amount of humanitarian tragedies and horrors in which live thousands of migrants and refugees, as well as to the various attacks and attitudes of rejection to  migrants  by far-right populist parties and movements.

The volume also analyses the situation of immigration in Spain and in Europe.
