Professional experience

Carlos Delclós (Houston, USA, 1982) is a sociologist, writer and member of the Roar Magazine editorial collective. He received his PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Government and Public Policy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (IGOP-UAB). His research examines social change, borders and inequality in urban settings through a combination of sociodemographic analysis and cultural theory. In addition to his articles in scientific journals, his work has been published by The New York Times, The Guardian, Frieze, Jacobin, Opendemocracy.net, Eldiario.es, Ara, Ctxt, Crític and El Salto, among others.
