This seminar will focus on three main topics: the economic dimension of metropolitan international action, the metropolitan internationalisation through human capital, and building international metropolitan strategies with local partners.
The meeting aims at discussing the international strategies of metropolitan governments as a public policy and how they are set up in partnership with the different economic and social stakeholders.
At the beginning of the session, CIDOB will present its study on “International Strategies in Metropolitan Areas. Case Studies: Durban, Medellin, Montreal, Seoul and Vienna” followed by a panel discussion by international multidisciplinary experts on the five case studies presented with recommendations for the AMB.
