CIDOB and FES Madrid, in collaboration with Museums for Ukraine and Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, organise a conversation with distinguished Ukrainian artists.
Ukrainian artists and the cultural world have joined the civil resistance to the Russian aggressor by pursuing their work in spite of the war. The National Philharmonic orchestra keeps playing on despite power cuts. Painters, writers, dancers, filmmakers or playwrights work tirelessly, helping with their art to support the collective resistance and to depict the war crimes against their fellow citizens in various forms. All the more so as the war is clearly aimed at destroying Ukrainian culture in all its forms, since the aggressor denies the existence of a distinct Ukrainian history, culture and identity.
>> The event will be streamed live in English at CIDOB YouTube channel, and in Spanish at FES Madrid YouTube channel.
