The new Global Strategy for the European Union’s Foreign and Security Policy is now available and CIDOB is proud to have contributed to it.
This document, entitled “Shared Vision, Common Action: A Stronger Europe”, was presented by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, to the European Council on 28-29 June. The EU Global Strategy sets out the EU's core interests and principles for engaging in the world and explains what the EU stands for and hopes to achieve.
CIDOB has actively engaged in the process of consultations with think-tanks coordinated by the European Union Institute for Security Studies to nurture the strategy in four specific fields: security in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic space, terrorism and mediation.
