Professional experience

Javier Carbonell is the winner of the 3rd edition of the Junior Visiting Fellowship created by CIDOB and the Banco Sabadell Foundation, within the framework of the Global Talent Program. He is also a doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh where he researches the nationalization of environmental policies and the response of traditional parties to the rise of the far right. He is a Teaching Associate at Sciences Po, Paris, a fellow of the think tank Future Policy Lab, an Associate of LSE IDEAS and was the Coordinator of ASEN (The Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism). He has a master's degree in IR from the London School of Economics and two degrees, one in Political Science (UNED) and the other in Hispanic Studies (University of Valencia). He is a regular contributor to media such as El País, Público and Agenda Pública.
