Objective

This workshop inaugurates the MEDITERRANEAN FUTURE FORUM, an initiative of CIDOB, with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, to anticipate the new challenges shared by European and North African countries. The MEDITERRANEAN FUTURE FORUM brings together scholars, practitioners, civil society members and policy makers from Europe and North Africa to foster out-of-the-box thinking and encourage intensive exchanges between a wide range of stakeholders.

This roundtable will focus on the different approaches to violent extremism. The invited speakers will discuss the existing approaches, comparing the dominant approaches to violent extremism in Europe and those used in North Africa.
