PERFORMED ACTIVITY
25 January 2016 - 10:00h
LOCATION: Mundo-b, Rue d'Edimbourg 26, 1050 Brussels
ORGANIZED BY: CIDOB with the support of the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE) and the Europe for Citizens programme and the collaboration of Tot Raval

PARTNERS:

Objective

This project has sought to enhance the political participation, representation and integration of immigrants. In an especially sensitive context with an anti-immigrant discourse and attitudes and the extreme right on the rise, the issue of third country nationals’ right to vote is more important than ever. This projects aims to put this issue on the top of the agenda and encourage politicians, policy-makers and researchers to promote third country nationals’ right to vote.

During this session, we will present the results of the project; we will hear Huma’s testimony, a woman born in Pakistan who now is an elected representative of Barcelona’s City Council; and we will show three short documentary stories referring to the three chapters of our project: invisibility, aspirations and integration.

With the support of: Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE) and Europe for Citizens
