Cristina Serrano holds a BA in Political Science by Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), a MA in Political Marketing by Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and an Executive Master in Digital Business by Esade. Prior to joining CIDOB (Barcelona Center for International Affairs), she worked as a strategic consultant for Altran, Xavier Roig i Associats and GAD3, where she participated in and coordinated various electoral and institutional communication campaigns. In 2013 she joined CIDOB, where she is Head of Communications and Coordination.
She has a degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a master’s degree in Cultural Management from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC). At the end of her journalism degree, she obtained a scholarship at the press service of the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB). Later, she joined the Consorci Universitat Internacional Menéndez Pelayo de Barcelona (CUIMPB - Center Ernest Lluch), first as press officer and later assumed the executive coordination of Courses and Seminars. In 2006 she joined CIDOB (Barcelona Center for International Affairs), where she has been press officer since 2010. She has carried out curricular internships at Televisió de Catalunya (TV3), Spanish Television (TVE) and at the Liceu's Superior Music Conservatory.
Cristina Sala i Soler is Communications Officer at CIDOB, in particular for the BRIDGES project, which assesses the impact and production of migration narratives in Europe. She holds a BA in Journalism by Universitat de València (UV) and a MA in International Relations by the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). She is currently pursuing a PhD at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), where she is also part-time lecturer in International Relations. She has previous experience in media and the private sector, as well as in other EU-funded projects: as Research and Communications Manager of the think tank network EuroMeSCo, led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and Research Assistant for the MENARA project, coordinated by CIDOB. Her areas of interest include the Middle East and North Africa, Euro-Mediterranean relations, and the role of religious transnational actors in world politics.
