The International Affairs Institute (IAI) within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Study Commission (EuroMeSCo) organises a Dialogue Workshop called “Youth activism in the South and East Mediterranean Countries since the Arab uprisings: Challenges and Policy options”.
he event will take place on the 18th November 2015 in Beirut (Lebanon). Experts from Italy, Palestine, Germany and Egypt will present, from different national approaches, a regional relevant matter in the last years: youth activism.
During the morning session, Silvia Colombo (IAI) will analyse youth activism from a more political perspective and Nadine Abdalla (Arab Forum for Alternatives - AFA) will focus on the recent Socio-Political change in Egypt and its consequences on youth.
After a lunch-break, Omar Shaban (Pal-Think) and Isabel Schäfer, German Development Institute (DIE) will present two different country-focused speeches, on Palestine and Tunisia respectively.
