Íñigo MACÍAS AYMAR

Master's in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, Master's in Applied Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Graduate in Economics and in Business Administration and Management from Pompeu Fabra University. Consultant lecturer at the Open University of Catalonia and on postgraduate courses on governability, institutional reform and human development. His main areas of work are: governability and institutional reform (with particular emphasis on fiscal issues), social and economic policy (and particularly the fight against inequality) and management of natural resources. He has published works on different topics, including: the impact of inequality on the emergence and development of democracy, the difficulties of carrying out fiscal reforms in developing countries, fiscal reforms in the Andean region and, more recently, the impact of China's presence in Africa. His work experience has been at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (in the Department of Applied Economics), the International Governance Institute and the Agbar Foundation. His regions of interest are: sub-Saharan Africa and the Andean region.

Lucia RODRIGO

Graduate in Law from UNED, she has obtained two postgraduate diplomas: “Cooperation with Development” from UAB-CIDOB and “Participation and Sustainable Development. Participative methods of social research for local and community development (IAP –Research-Action-Participation)” from UAB. She has worked in a number of development NGOs on the identification, design, management and justification of cooperation with development projects and has worked in Peru as an expatriate and head of the programme aimed at the defence of children and women's rights. She supports Development and Cooperation issues, and works on various studies to evaluate cooperation projects and on cooperation with development in Catalonia.
