  • Yolanda ONGHENA DUYVEWAERDT
    Yolanda ONGHENA DUYVEWAERDT - Senior Research Fellow
    Education: History of art, theatre (Universiteit Gent / Koninklijk Conservatorium) and Master's in Euro-Arab studies (University of Girona). Until 2009 she coordinated CIDOB’s Intercultural Dynamics Programme, which analyses intercultural dynamics through interdisciplinary, international reflection. Her areas of interest are: trans-cultural relations, the intercultural in discourses: stereotypes/prejudices, identifications and categorisations, intercultural reflections from areas outside the West, and tourism as an area of contact between cultures. She is a member of the International Network of Intercultural Research Centres as well as of other specialised international networks and centres.
  • Alvise VIANELLO
    Alvise VIANELLO - Researcher
    A graduate in Hebrew and Jewish Studies, he holds a post-graduate degree in inter-Mediterranean Mediation (University of Venice) and a MA in Public and Social Policies (IDEC-Pompeu Fabra). He was awarded a PhD in Analysis and Governance of Sustainable Development from the School for Advanced Studies of Venice, with a thesis on Israeli civil society. He was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship in the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Research Network “Ramses” for the study of Mediterranean cultures. His main areas of interest are: civil society and Diaspora theories with particular focus on the interconnections between the two; he has published several articles on these subjects. He is a member of the MeRiFor research network and M.I.M European Master’s scientific committees. He worked as project manager for several European projects in Italy, Israel and Spain.
