An iniciative of Diputació de Barcelona, Fundació CIDOB, Fundació Jaume Bofill, Fundación Ortega y Gasset, Institut de Dret Públic and Patronat Català Pro Europa.

Law and social sciences provide two approaches through which this book aims to perceive the immigration phenomenon of the past two decades in Spain. On the one hand, it studies the legislation applied to this new reality, highlighting the regulation of entries and border control, among other issues. It also analyses the geographic and social dimensions of immigration as well as its territorial distribution and access to social services. The articles collected in this work aim to contribute to a better knowledge of immigration in Spain and to provide elements for improving the management of it.
