Edited by Eliseo Aja, Joaquín Arango and Josep Oliver, the Immigration in Spain Yearbook, 2008 edition provides a multidisciplinary examination of the current state of immigration in Spain; the publication – which this year is entitled Immigration at the crossroads – presents an exhaustive view of the phenomenon through a series of studies carried out from legal, economic and sociological standpoints, in a year that could mark a change in trends, following the current economic crisis. The studies analyse the latest trends in immigration and the job market, as well as demographic trends; furthermore, the publication includes a series of monographic studies dedicated to issues such as immigrants' right to vote, unemployment and the main agreements that have been signed with West African countries on the subject of migration. And finally, there is also an analysis of the main legal and legislative instruments that regulate immigration in Spain.
