[22.09.09] According to the report, despite the unfavourable conditions in the international sphere, development in Asia is proving unexpectedly resistant to the world recession. Determined action by governments and central banks, together with the healthy financial situation that existed in the period prior to the crisis, has helped to overcome the difficulties.
[26.08.09] The Yearbook analyses the economic and social indicators of Asian countries. This edition features a special chapter on the dynamics of business, covering the factors of innovation, efficiency and the generation of employment, which represent the key elements for the recovery of economic growth in the Asia region.

Following their record year in 2007, the growth rate for regional GDP has cooled off, and will carry on like this for a while. Includes a chapter analysing development imbalances and strategies.

The main argument is that the convergence of the three crises presents an opportunity for the region to reorient its growth and development.

The report also analyses the increase in the international price of raw materials, and its impact on Asia's emerging economies.
[31.08.08] The yearbook contains the social and economic indicators of the member countries. It also includes a special chapter on compliance with Millennium Goals, and another chapter that compares poverty levels and equality of purchasing power between countries.

In 2007, they continued to grow at a very high rate, and the average regional GDP increased by 8.7%. Also includes a chapter analysing aspects of the situation of Asian workers (access to employment, training and migrations).
[09.01.08] In 2007, this region grew at an average of around 8.2%, and this growth is expected to continue in 2008, in spite of uncertainty in the US and the continuous appreciation of the value of Asian currencies. Regional capabilities will be maintained thanks to commercial prosperity, a solid economic base and strong growth in China and India.
