I seminario de Inmigración y Europa.
A collection of the contributions from the First Immigration and Europe Seminar, which aims at making an assessment of Spain’s role in the process of constructing a European immigration policy, begun in the Tampere Council in 1999. It brings together the points of view of different administrations and the view from the economic and academic worlds on issues such as integration, the labour market, and European citizenship, among others, in order to analyse how European debates are affecting discussions in Spain and which issues are being dealt with and have been incorporated, or should be incorporated, into the debates of the European Union when discussing immigration policies. Finally, an evaluation from the European perspective ends the reflection on the role of Spain in the construction of a European immigration policy.
