The Development Programme of the CIDOB Foundation is commencing a new cycle, the aim of which is to strengthen and promote research into development in our country.

This programme will promote the creation of bridges between applied research and policy planning, with the aim of strengthening the processes of planning and assessment of the cooperation with development work carried out by the main Catalan public agents.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the most neglected area in studies on international relations and social and economic development in the framework of globalisation.

Since 2004, the CIDOB Foundation has been promoting debate and reflection on the economic and social policies of which the post-Washington Consensus should be comprised.

The global development agenda is increasingly omni-comprehensive and complex. The interrelations between different areas of study make it necessary to carry out a continual monitoring of the main issues that shape this changing agenda.
