Since it was founded in 1975, EADI has been the most important framework for collaboration and information exchange in the sector. It has over 350 institutional and individual members from 29 European countries, and organises its activity around 14 thematic work groups that organise seminars and research projects, publishing the results in the collection “EADI Book Series”. Every three years they hold a general conference, such as the one mentioned here, which brings together over 500 participants. The 12th Conference was funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, as well as by other European institutions.
