Following a long, intense period in which the CIDOB Foundation and the UAB have worked together in offering Master’s and Postgraduate courses in international relations and co-operation for development, the 2007-2008 academic year will mark the end of the final course.
The CIDOB Foundation, with the UB, UAB, UPC, UPF and UOC universities, created a new Foundation, the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI), which is recognised as an inter-university institute and is dedicated to research activities and postgraduate education. Therefore, beginning with the 2008-2009 academic year, postgraduate training will only be given through the IBEI, and the CIDOB Foundation will follow its vocation as a think tank.
All of these years, since 1989, have made it possible to have many graduating classes and many people who are professionally dedicated to the spheres of international relations and co-operation for development. We thank all of them very much. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the professors, collaborators, teachers and researchers who have contributed over the course of all of these years to training our alumni and transmitting their knowledge and experience to the them.
For the 2007-2008 academic year, only registration for the Postgraduate Course in Co-operation for Development will be open, not the Master’s programmes. The main objective of the programme is to train specialised professionals in subjects concerning co-operation for development.
