The objective of this second meeting, which follows the first one that took place in Barcelona in November 2007, is to publicise, analyse and debate the role played in recent years by the business sector, chambers of commerce, foundations and other civil associations, as well as the way in which they relate and interact with the different local, regional and national governments in Ibero-America with respect to the issues of coexistence and the search for peace among citizens. The aim is to attempt to establish an exchange of experiences between public and private institutions working in the aforementioned areas in Latin America and Spain, and to understand a little more about their origin, development and the roles that they have played.
