Lecture
Egypt is a country with a population of over 80 million that is situated in a strategic area. The country is facing challenges such as its political restructuring following Mubarak's term of office, huge social inequalities and the orientation of its foreign policy. At this conference we will hear two opening addresses by Amr Elchoubaki (President of the Arab Forum for Alternatives) and Gema Martín Muñoz (Director General of Casa Árabe) followed by a debate with Egyptian experts, the political, economic and social dynamics that the country is currently experiencing, as well as the role that external actors could play.
