Presentation of the progress made and the results obtained by the Network of Research on Asian Communities in Spain (RICAE-CIDOB) in the research project, The Economic Activities of Asian Communities: The Ethnic Business Class and Transnationalism. The study takes as an initial hypothesis within the framework of globalisation the connection existing between the business activities of the Asian communities established in Spain and those of Asian communities in diaspora in other countries, and this will be complemented with the analysis of the local experiences of some groups that have settled in Andorra, Catalonia and Gibraltar.
