Conference
November 10 – 11, 2006
This is the 7th edition of an annual meeting between Spain and Italy which has been held since 1999, bringing together figures from civil society to deal with current political and economic issues which affect Europe’s present and future. The topics that focus the debate are structured, once more, on aspects that concern the interests of both countries. On this occasion, the discussion will deal with the Mediterranean dimension of the European Union, the role that should be played by the Mediterranean countries on the African shore and in Latin America, the challenges pending in the area of infrastructures as well as other points related to industrial policy, such as the need to give impetus to research and development in companies, the opportunities posed by transnational mergers and the prospects of the global market.
