The objective of this workshop seminar is to deal with three significant subject areas in Central Asia. The first is the state of the question of governance / governability in the region, with special attention given to Uzbekistan as a case study. The second focuses on the analysis of the relationships of co-operation among the countries in the area, as well as the external actors with the ability to influence, and the possibility of defining a model of Central Asian regionalism. Finally, the last thematic area contemplates security, from the area of the energy resources existing in the zone, with emphasis on Turkmenistan due to its exceptionality in the area of foreign policy.
